FEDERATION CHAMBER- GRIEVANCE DEBATE- MEDICARE, PENSIONS AND BENEFITS.

22 June 2021

I rise today to speak about Medicare and the terrible way the Morrison government treats some of the most vulnerable Australians.

STATEMENT BY MEMEBERS- COVID 19.

01 June 2021

I am not a Victorian, but I stand with all Victorians in the midst of this latest COVID outbreak. If this government had taken seriously its responsibility to vaccinate Australians, more Victorians would now be vaccinated and they might well not be in the midst of their fourth lockdown.

FEDERATION CHAMBER- CONSITIUENCY STATEMENTS- BRAND ELECTORATE; TELECOMMUNICATIONS.

25 May 2021

Today I would like to talk about the unacceptable mobile phone coverage in my electorate of Brand, particularly in the suburbs of Safety Bay and Baldivis.

FEDERATION CHAMBERS- STATEMENTS BY MEMBERS- WESTERN AUSTRALIA STATE ELECTION.

22 March 2021

I rise today to ask a question on behalf of all Western Australians: where the bloody hell is Scott Morrison?

FEDERATION CHAMBER- CONSITIUENCY STATEMENTS- BRAND ELECTORATE; MINING.

17 March 2021

Earlier this month, accompanied by Labor leader Anthony Albanese, I visited BHP's Kwinana nickel refinery in my electorate of Brand. Kwinana is where I was born, and the nickel refinery has been operating there for about 50 years—just a couple of years more than me. I have driven up and down Patterson Road in Rockingham countless times during my life.

FEDERATION CHAMBER- CONSITIUENCY STATEMENTS- WESTERN AUSTRALIA; BUSHFIRES: FLOODS, COVID-19.

23 February 2021

The opening weeks of 2021 have been really tough for many Western Australians. During one week at the beginning of February, 81 houses were lost and hundreds of people had to be evacuated because of a devastating bushfire in Perth's north-eastern suburbs.

STATEMENT BY MEMEBERS- SAFER COMMUNITIES FUND.

18 February 2021

If ever the people of Rockingham and Kwinana needed any more proof that the Liberal Party and this government do not care about them, here it is, reported in my local paper, The Sound Telegraph—sadly blocked by Facebook today as well:

'Almost half a million in funding was slashed from the City of Rockingham's safer communities grant application after the Home Affairs Minister, Peter Dutton, redirected hundreds of thousands in funding to marginal electorates.'
