The Albanese Government will deliver a tax cut for every taxpayer in Brand from July 1.

Labor’s tax cuts will provide cost-of-living relief for all Australians and make our tax system fairer.

Around 83,000 people in Brand will receive a tax break under historic reforms announced by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Treasurer Jim Chalmers.

The average tax cut in Brand will be $1,670.

Around 70,000 people, or 85 percent of taxpayers in Brand, will receive a bigger tax cut than they would have under the plan Scott Morrison legislated five years ago.

The average Australian wage earner on $73,000 per annum will receive a tax cut of $1504 which is more than $800 extra in their pocket each year than they would have received under Mr Morrison’s plan.

Madeleine King MP, the Federal Member for Brand and the Federal Resources Minister and Minister for Northern Australia, said every taxpayer across the City of Rockingham and the City of Kwinana would now get a tax cut.

“We’re delivering more help for working families and more help for Australians, putting cash back into people’s pockets when they need it most.” Minister King said.

“Our tax cuts are about ensuring more workers in our community can keep more of what they earn because we know that will take pressure off people doing it tough.”
