Volunteer organisations are the backbone of our community, with these past few years being more strenuous than normal for most due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The volunteer grants are designed to help community organisations support the important work of their volunteers.

Each volunteer group will receive grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 that will help purchase small equipment, contribute to fuel, and transport costs for volunteers, assist with training courses, and conduct activities to promote awareness of volunteering opportunities.

The electorate of Brand has received a total of $62,225 for 26 organisations including:

Madeleine King MP Federal Member for Brand said while the grants are small, the impact will be big with funding going a long way to provide for the community.

“Organisations across Brand will benefit greatly from this funding, continuing to support the work of their volunteers and build up their volunteer base,” Madeleine King said.
